The three innovators presenting during the dinner are:

Matthew Sweeny, Founder & CEO of Flirtey

Matthew Sweeny is an Australian-born American aviation and technology entrepreneur and inventor. Sweeny is the Founder and CEO of Flirtey, the industry-leading, independent drone delivery service.  Flirtey is reinventing the delivery process for humanitarian, online retail and food delivery industries – with a mission to save lives and improve lifestyles by making delivery instant for everyone. Under Sweeny’s leadership, Flirtey has worked with NASA, Johns Hopkins University of Medicine, Remote Area Medical, New Zealand Land Search & Rescue, Domino's and 7-Eleven to conduct deliveries of medicine to rural healthcare clinics, ship-to-shore deliveries of medical samples and deliveries of retail and e-commerce items to consumer homes.

        

Jeff Saling, Co-Founder and Executive Director of StartUpNV

Jeff Saling is a start-up founder and early stage public company executive with more than 25 years of experience. Jeff has been part of four successful exits from enterprise business-to-business software-as-a-service (SaaS) companies between 1998 and 2016. Jeff’s experience includes running worldwide sales, professional services, SaaS operations, and product development. In 2017, Jeff co-founded StartUpNV, Nevada’s only state-wide Business Incubator, whose mission is to enable startups to take scalable business ideas from beta or prototype into revenue-producing businesses, then prepare them to connect with investors.  Since inception, StartUpNV has reviewed over 300 pitches, helped over 35 companies through the incubator program, and has assisted 13 member companies raise over $30M in early-stage funding.  Jeff graduated from California State University (Hayward) in 1983 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business.

     

Eric Raydon, Co-founder of Marmot Properties

Eric Raydon has over 25 years of experience in real estate development, management, strategy, and finance.  In 2009, Eric co-founded Marmot with his two brothers, Bryan and Gary.  Eric received his MBA from Purdue and his BSBA from the University of Southern California.  Eric’s career is focused on development and investments, with strong experience in residential, mixed-use, resort, commercial, and industrial real estate.  Prior to Marmot’s founding, Eric served as Suncadia Resort’s Director of Parcel/Land Development, and provided management and leadership on the $130M development of several luxury 4-Diamond resort properties, including a 380,000 square foot mountain lodge with 223 condominium hotel units, 20,000 square foot conference center, destination restaurant and bar, and a 10,000 square foot LEED Silver all season spa.  Eric also served as Business Development Manager for Intel, where he provided key strategic/business analyses on $6B executive decisions for site selection/development for semiconductor factories, and $2B in local tax incentives for expanded site development.
