All are welcome to join us for Harvard’s Global Month of Service!
Harvard and intercollegiate alumni are encouraged to participate; please RSVP for our May 20th event.
We have reserved 30 volunteer spots at the Food Bank of Northern Nevada on for a two-hour shift in May. Note: the Black Bear does NOT normally make reservations for brunch, but they made an exception for us. Please let us know if you plan to attend, and the number in your party, so we can have an accurate headcount.

Optional Brunch
Meet for a no-host brunch before our volunteer shift
Brunch location: The Black Bear Diner at 235 N McCarran Blvd, Sparks, NV
Time: 10:15 am – 11:30 am
Carpool: As we wrap-up brunch, those interested can informally carpool to the Food Bank, returning to the restaurant after our shift.
Can’t make it to brunch, but want to volunteer? No problem!
Volunteer
Food Bank Location: 550 Italy Dr, McCarran, NV
Time: Meet at the Food Bank at 11:50am for our 12:00pm to 2:00pm shift.
Who can participate: All intercollegiate alumni, their children aged 10 and older, and like-minded friends.
Dress: Closed-toe shoes required, bring a light jacket and consider pants in case it is cool in the Food Bank.
Donate food: Non-perishable food contributions are always welcome! Not required.
RSVP: Webmaster@HarvardNV.com; Please indicate whether you will attend the brunch or prefer to meet us at the Food Bank, and if you have an interest in carpooling to the Food Bank from The Black Bear.
The food bank serves over 95,000 people in need monthly and helps alleviate hunger for 1 in 4 disadvantaged Nevada children. We hope to see you on May 20!
