Carpenter Valley Tahoe Hike: Postponed Until Trail Dries
Join us for a 5 mile round trip, intermediate level hike.
Come discover Lower Carpenter Valley, the newest land acquisition of the Truckee Donner Land Trust (TDLT). It is one of the best examples of a properly functioning meadow in the Tahoe area. Willow forests abound on the valley floor. The North Fork of Prosser Creek meanders through the valley and vegetation grows right up to the water’s edge. The wildflowers are not to be missed. Brought to you by both the Harvard Club of Northern Nevada & the Sierra and the Harvard Club of Sacramento, this intermediate-level hike will be led by Harvard alum Jenny Lo (MPH '99), who lives in Truckee full-time, hikes regularly with Tahoe Donner Hiking Club's advanced group and hiked 165 miles on the Tahoe Rim Trail last year. Optional lunch after the hike at Wild Cherries for any who would like to participate: https://www.wildcherriescoffeehouse.com/ (no host, no advanced reservation).
